Night at the Museum: Vinyl an Art-making Edition

Join us for an evening that centers the culture, music, and that has always belonged to us.

On April 23rd, Chulita Vinyl Club spins classic oldies as you move through the de Young's lowrider and indigenous exhibits—not as observers, but as rightful inheritors of these legacies. That Art Party will guide our artmaking where you can choose your practice: customize fuzzy dice (or a license plate) rooted in lowrider tradition, or learn weaving on a small lap loom, connecting to indigenous craft knowledge passed down through generations.

Vegan Chula provides artfully curated bites throughout the evening. This is a space for us to gather, create, and reclaim our narratives within an institution that has historically excluded them.
